In Order To Manage Traffic And Parking
At Your Event - You Must:
- Provide Adequate Car And Bus Parking, Including Space For Over Flow Car Parking And Wet Weather Access
- For large Events that offer Car Parking, Traffic Management and Parking Companies can be employed to direct Traffic. Community Organisations such as your local SES Branch may also be able to co-ordinate Parking for a donation
- Provide access for Emergency Services, Event and Security Staff
- Provide Disability Car ParkingClearly identify designated Pick-up and Drop-off Point
- Make every effort to ensure minimal disruption to nearby Businesses and Residents
- If you are holding a large Event and Parking options are limited, you should encourage the use of Public Transportation to and from your Venue. If Public Transportation is not available, you may want to consider providing a Shuttle Bus Service to and from the closest Train Station or Bus Stop
- Notify local Taxi Companies of your Event
- Make sure that you include Directions in any Promotional Material and have sufficient Signage in place on the day. You may be reqired to Apply for a Signage Permit or Approval, depending on when and where you want to display your Parking Signs.
